Making Conservatives Cringe Since 1977

I'm not Liberal, I'm paying attention.

Gone Fishing

Every once in a while I make the mistake of turning on Fox News and watching for a bit. I made it most of the way through O’Reilly by taking much needed breaks to finish carving pumpkins. Then I started watching Insanity and Moans. I watched as Insanity and Mary Matlin propagated absolute bald face lies while Moans just bent over and, well, moaned. Shawn Hannity said basically that Rove was in the clear and then trivialized the fact that indictments had been handed down for perjury and obstruction of justice. He even went as far as saying that the whole thing was silly when you look at how the left howled when Clinton was caught for something outside the original scope of the investigation! Now I don’t need Media Matters, Newshounds, or Crooks and Liars to remind me these people are pompous asshats that can’t wrap their minds around the simple fact that Fitzgerald was looking specifically at wether or not Libby, Rove, and others had committed a crime in the now established fact that they leaked a covert CIA operative’s name to the press. That is what this investigation is about. Conversly, Starr did not start investigating Clinton because of allegations of adultery, he started with Whitewater, came up with zilch, and started fishing elsewhere. Hannity practically admits to the fact that the Starr inquiry was a witchhunt, while overlooking the point that Fitzgerald has of yet to bring further charges under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, because Libby obstructed justice. Don’t be mistaken, more charges are to come. We have a saying in the Army, “you are only as strong as your weakest link,” and Libby may be that by default because he’s the first to be indicted. The house of cards is about to tumble. Again, this is just the first domino.
